This morning as I was listening to a worship program I heard something that caught my undivided attention. This precious woman was teaching about a house divided, but unlike anything I ever heard before. You see when The Lord spoke to her about a house being divided it wasn’t like you would imagine. For example when we think about it we usually think , marriage, family ,church, kingdom, country, but you don’t usually consider this can also be you. But this is what The Lord told her to teach about... the house is you! There are three things to consider, what you hear, what your heart tells you, and what you confess with your mouth.
When these three things are not in agreement, you can be destroyed. Now the Lord tells us that He has given us self-control in 2Timothy 1:7b. (ASV). First, your ears will hear and tell your heart what’s the Lord telling you? Because faith comes by hearing the word of God, Romans 10:17 What is it that you are hearing about yourself or situation you are seeking God about? Next, when your hearts hears what God is saying, it will either believe in faith or deceive you because the word says in Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything flows from it. (NIV) and “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it ”Jeremiah 17:9(KJV) so therefor you have to keep your feelings out of it , because feelings can cause you to disagree with what you are hearing. Third what comes out of your mouth will be spoken from what your heart tells it. So, your ear or what you hear will control what you tell your heart and it’s important to tell your heart to be quiet and hear what God is saying and your mouth to say what you are hearing. It is very important that all 3 senses are in complete agreement. In Matthew 18:19-20 tells us that if two shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Agreeing in faith Is the only way that you can stand otherwise it’s useless.
I want to encourage you to come in total agreement with your hearing, your heart and your speech and stand firm on the Word. Jesus said in Mark 3:25 (ASV)” And if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.
